Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be shown live on the streaming platform.
Briton Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I will break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
Despite those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather attacked former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Still, the novice continues to be one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually going ahead.
